Top 5 Maps and Navigation Apps on Android in Qatar Q3 2021

The third quarter of 2021 saw interesting trends in the Maps and Navigation category on the Android platform in Qatar. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top 5 applications based on weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Uber - Request a ride showed a varied trend in weekly downloads, starting at 5.1K in late June and fluctuating throughout the quarter, peaking at 5.9K in mid-September. Active users experienced a gradual increase from 45.8K to 50.3K by the end of September.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a steady growth in downloads, beginning with 2.2K in late June and reaching 2.4K by the end of September. Active users, however, showed a more fluctuating pattern, starting at 91.2K and ending the quarter at 87.9K.

Get2Go: G2G experienced a significant spike in downloads in mid-July, reaching 8.1K, but saw a sharp decline thereafter, stabilizing around 157 downloads per week towards the end of the quarter.

Careem – rides, food & more had a relatively stable download trend, beginning at 1.5K in late June and maintaining around 900 downloads per week by late September. Active users saw a slight decrease from 32.5K to 28.4K over the quarter.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation showed consistent weekly downloads, starting at 771 and peaking at 1K in mid-September. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly between 2.3K and 2.7K during the quarter. Revenue for this app was modest, maintaining around $2 to $3 per week.
